The General Accountant is responsible for the overall accounting function for Tech Mahindra. This includes managing all accounting transactions, preparing budget forecasts, publishing financial statements, handling monthly, quarterly and annual closings, reconciling accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely bank payments, computing taxes and preparing tax returns, and managing balance sheets and profit/loss statements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting transactions, including journal entries, invoices, and payments.
• Prepare budget forecasts and track actual expenses against budget.
• Publish financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure timely bank payments.
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to management.
• Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
